Gardaí in Co Cork have confirmed that a man aged in his 80s has died following a road collision on the N71 at Bawnshanaclogh, Ballydehob.
It is understood the man died at the scene which occurred at at approximately 9.50pm on Thursday.
Gardaí investigating the incident say the driver of the other and a 10 year old passenger were taken to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
