There was some tragic news announced late last night as Gardaí in Co Sligo confirmed that missing man
Kenneth McGowan’s, body was found in a mountainous area in North Sligo.
Mr McGowan, aged 49, from Grange, Co Sligo had been missing since the 12th of February, and was the subject of a nationwide appeal over the past three weeks however sadly found deceased in remote region on Thursday afternoon.
In a brief statement a Garda spokesperson said: “The body of Kenneth McGowan RIP was recovered from a mountainous area in North Co Sligo today.”
“Gardaí in Sligo would like to take this opportunity to thank the Civil Defence, Sligo Mountain Rescue and voluntary statutory agencies for all their assistance.”
