There was some tragic news announced last night as Gardaí have confirmed the names of the married couple found dead at their home in Irishtown Co Mayo.
The aged in their 70s and 60s were found at their home shortly after 3pm yesterday afternoon in the Knockadoon area near the village.
The deceased couple have been named as Tom and Kitty Fitzgerald.
It is understood the couple were well known to the community and were also active members at the Church of the Holy Family and St Oliver in Irishtown.
