Gardaí in Co Galway have sadly confirmed that a teenager girl has died following a road traffic incident.
It is understood the 16-year-old girl who was a passenger in the vehicle was killed after the car she was travelling in collided with a wall near Oughterard at around 1.15am.
Gardaí say the driver of the vehicle a 21-year-old man was taken to University Hospital Galway with serious injuries.
