Police in the UK have launched an investigation after a newborn baby was found at a recycling centre on Thursday.
According to BBC News, the newborn which is believed to have been just 48 hours old was tragically found dead at Sackers facility in Needham Market, Suffolk, shortly after 3pm on Thursday.
Police investigating the incident are appealing for the newborn’s mother to come forward and contact them as they are deeply concerned for her welfare.
They added that newborn’s death is being treated as unexplained, but they believe that the baby may have entered the recycling facility via a bin lorry which carried out collections in the Ipswich area.
