Gardaí in Co Galway have sadly confirmed that a man has died following a two vehicle collision.
It is understood the man aged in his 30s was killed after the car he was travelling in collided with a van in Carrownurlar, Milltown, at approximately 1am.
Gardaí say the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene whilst the driver of the van was taken to Mayo University Hospital.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
