There was some disappointment for thousands of Junior Certificate students as the State Examinations Commission has confirmed that results will be issued at a later date than scheduled.
It is understood the delay comes as the board is dealing with a high number of appeals applications from Leaving Certificate students.
Although no official date has been confirmed for the publication of Junior Certificate results, it is believed that students will not receive their results until October.
The decision will come as a blow to students across the country who normally receive their results in mid-September.
