GardaĆ in Co Limerick have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 40s was sadly killed following a two vehicle collision on Wednesday evening.
It is understood the man was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash which occurred on the N21 near Croagh, at approximately 7.30pm.
GardaĆ investigating the crash also say another man was injured in the collision however his injuries are not life-threatening and he is currently being treated at University Hospital Limerick.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
