Gardaí in Co Clare have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 60s has died following a farming accident on Thursday morning.
It is the 68-year-old died whilst he was assisting a neighbour on a farm in Cooraclare.
Gardaí say the incident occurred at approximately 8:30am when the man was helping a farmer to load cattle onto a trailer.
They also say they do not believe that the cause of the man’s death is suspicious and an investigation is currently ongoing.
The Health and Safety Authority have also begun an investigation into the incident.
