Gardai in Co Cork have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 30s has died following a swimming accident.
According to RTE News, the man got into difficulties whilst swimming with a group in the River Lee, in Ballincollig, on Sunday.
It is believed that the man’s body was recovered from the waters at approximately 1:30am following a major search operation.
