The grim trend of road deaths continues, after a man in his 40s sadly lost his life in a car accident in Galway on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened on the R363, near Islandcase in Ballygar, Galway, at about 1.30pm.
The vehicle left the road, and the driver, a man in his 40s, was fatally injured. A female passenger, a woman also in her 40s, sustained injuries believed to be non-life threatening.
134 people have died on Irish roads since January this year.
