Police in the UK have confirmed that an investigation is underway after a newborn baby was tragically found dead in a canal on Thursday.
According to BBC News, officers are investigating the incident after the baby boy was found in the Rough Wood Country Park, in Willenhal, at approximately 1pm.
Police investigating the incident have appealed for the newborn’s mother to come forward and contact them as they say they are concerned for her welfare and she may need urgent medical attention.
