Police in the UK have sadly confirmed that a body found near Grimsby docks, in the Humber Estuary, is that of missing student Libby Squire.
In an announcement made on Thursday evening, Humberside Police said a formal identification has been made and confirmed the body is that of Ms Squire.
Libby, 21, came to the attentions of the British public after she went missing on a night out with friends on February 1st.
Police say that Ms Squire’s family have been informed about the discovery and they are currently receiving consular assistance.
They added that they are currently awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination in order to determine Libby’s cause of death and an investigation is currently ongoing.
