Police in New Zealand have tragically confirmed that they have found the body of missing British woman Stephanie Simpson.
According to Sky News, police confirmed that the missing hiker was found on Friday afternoon following an extensive search.
Ms Simpson, 32, from Essex, was reported missing on Monday after she failed to show up for work.
It is believed that Ms Simpson was attempting a four day hike at Mount Aspiring, on South Island, before she went missing.
Police say they discovered a number of items in the area during the search for Stephanie.
They have since confirmed that they have recovered her body and have offered their deepest condolences to her family.
