If you’re going out and about this weekend, the message is clear that you should be extremely careful on B roads, coastal areas and walking near or through wooded areas.
The national forecaster is warning of a great deal of weather misery this weekend, as Storm Dennis arrives with very heavy rain and strong winds.
A ‘weather advisory’ notice has been issued ahead of the storm’s arrival. It came into effect on Saturday morning at 3am, and will remain in effect until at least lunchtime on Monday.
Met Eireann is predicting wet and windy weather throughout the entire weekend, possibly lasting into Monday with thunderstorms possible.
