
Two people have died in separate road traffic accidents in Cork and Dublin.
A pedestrian died after being struck by a car in St. James’s St, Dublin. The accident happened at 2:40am, and the 62-yr-old was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A 58-yr-old man driving the car which is believed to be a taxi, was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
Separately, a 19-yr-old man died after his car crashed into another vehicle in Whitegate at 6:30pm.
The driver of the second car is being treated in Cork University Hospital.
