In a tragic accident, two sisters have drowned in the swimming pool of a Greek hotel on the island of Rhodes.
According to Sky News, one sister dived into the water to help save her sister who had gotten into difficulties. Neither could swim and no lifeguard was on duty at the time. Sadly they were not able to get out of the water and their bodies were found in the water some time later.
The sisters, who were from France, were aged 17 and 20 and had been on holiday on Rhodes with their family since the end of July. The family have received condolences for their terrible loss from the Greek Minister for Tourism.
