Gardaí in Co Wexford have sadly confirmed that a woman aged in her 80s has died following a house fire in the early hours of this morning.
It is understood that the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene after the fire broke out at a house in Davidstown, just outside Clonroche, shortly after 6:30am.
Gardaí say a woman aged in her 40s was also taken to Wexford General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing, but believe that the cause of the fire is not suspicious.
