Gardai in Co Clare havd sadly confirmed that a woman who was seriously injured in an alleged assault last month has passed away in hospital.
The woman aged in her 30s was seriously injured following an incident in Ennis, on January 21st.
Gardai say they are currently awaiting the results of a post mortem examination and an investigation is currently ongoing.
They added that the results of the post mortem examination will determine the course of their investigation.
