Students at the Institute of Technology in Tralee have set a new world record today.
Over 1,000 people gathered at the college in Co.Kerry to try to break the record for the most Christmas crackers to be pulled in one go. It is reported that the students broke the existing record of 798.
The event was organised to raise money for MS Ireland, the Cope Foundation and Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services in Dublin.
The record has yet to be verified by Guinness World Records.
