Transport Minister says that the Irish public transport system ‘might not be able to cope’ when the country opens for business again

Minister for Transport Shane Ross has said that the Irish public transport system ‘might not be able to cope’ when the country opens for business again.

Mr. Ross said that social distancing measures mean that transport companies will be operating at a much-reduced capacity for some time.

Many workers are expected to return to work over the next few weeks as Ireland’s lockdown is lifted.
