Treat for stargazers as partial lunar eclipse is to occur on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing




Stargazers will be in for treat next week as a partial lunar eclipse will occur on Tuesday evening.

The phenomenal event which will occurr exactly 50 years after the historic moon landing, will see two thirds of the moon hidden behind the earth’s shadow.

It is expected that the partial eclipse will be seen between 10pm and 12am provided skies remain clear.

Meanwhile astronomers say the partial eclipse is a must see event as the next eclipse is not expected to occur until 2021.
