A young woman has been killed in an alleged hit-and-run in Armagh.
The incident happened at around 12:30 pm Saturday afternoon on the Monaghan Road, where she had been walking.
The 19-year-old has been named as Lesley-Ann McCarragher and is from Armagh.
She was airlifted to The Royal Voctoria Hospital but sadly passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Tributes have been paid to Lesley-Ann on the Facebook page ‘City of Armagh High School’, where Lesley was a former pupil and Head Girl.
PSNI are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything to contact Armagh Police.
