
A man has died following a single-vehicle crash between Borris and Goresbridge in Co Carlow, reports Breaking News.
The collision, involving a car, happened at Ballytiglea on the R702 at approximately 6:20am on Wednesday morning, reports Breaking News.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body remains at the location of the crash, while no other passengers were in the car and no additional injuries were reported, reports Breaking News.
The road has been closed to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out a technical examination, with local diversions currently in place.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward, reports Breaking News.
Road users who may have dash-cam or other camera footage and who were travelling on the R702 between Borris and Goresbridge between 5:30am and 6:30am are being asked to make the footage available to investigators.

Gardaí said investigations into the incident are continuing.
