Tributes paid after young woman sadly dies after falling off the edge at Cliffs of Moher




A young woman in County Clare died after plunging from a cliff, reports Breaking News.

The college student, is said to have fallen after losing her balance while exploring the Cliffs of Moher with three friends.

The gang is said to be non-Irish and of various ethnicities.

When the alert went out at 2:00 PM, watch officers at the Irish Coast Guard’s maritime rescue coordination station on Valentia Island in Kerry launched a significant search and rescue effort, reports Breaking News.

The Shannon-based search and rescue helicopter was assigned to the scene, and members of the Coast Guard’s Doolin unit and the Irish Gardaí also attended.

When the crew was asked to respond to the situation, Rescue 115 was already airborne and en route to the Aran Islands for the training exercise. In a matter of minutes, the helicopter arrived at the search location, reports Breaking News.

In addition to Clare County Fire and Rescue Service units from the Ennistymon station, the Aran Islands RNLI all-weather lifeboat was assigned to help with the operation.

The drone crew from Clare Civil Defence was asked to stand down after being asked to be prepared to respond and help with the search if necessary.

A cursory investigation of the area revealed the location of the body, reports Breaking News.
