Tributes have been paid to a woman aged in her 20s after she tragically was struck by a train near the town of Laytown, Co. Meath.
The incident is said to have occurred shortly before 7pm when the woman was struck by the enterprise train heading northbound.
The train had been travelling to Belfast from Dublin Connolly but after the incident, all Iarnród Éireann trains were cancelled the remainder of the evening.
Train services are still not fully operational in the area but will be by mid morning Saturday.
