
A woman in her 60s has died in hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a road crash in Co Clare last month, reports RTE.
The single-vehicle collision happened at approximately 10.50pm on Friday 27 March on the R458 at Rathfolan, near Newmarket-on-Fergus, reports RTE.
The woman, who had been driving the car, was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where she passed away yesterday evening.
A second woman in her 70s who was travelling in the vehicle suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, reports RTE.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who was travelling on the R458 near Rathfolan between 10.30pm and 11pm that night, to come forward.
They are particularly asking road users with camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, to make it available to investigators, reports RTE.
