Tributes paid to 16-yr-old Eamon Kavanagh who was killed in crash in Carlow yesterday




Tributes have been paid to a 16-yr-old boy who was killed after the car he was in crashed into a wall near ‘The Nine Stones’, Mount Leinster in Borris at 5am on Sunday morning.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel.

Four other boys, aged in their late teens, who were also in the car were injured and were taken to St Luke’s Hospital and Waterford University Hospital.

It’s understood that one of the boys is still in a very serious condition.

The boy has been named locally as Eamon Kavanagh and he was a third-year student at Borris Vocational School. Tributes have been paid by the local priest and the boy’s school.
