The guy, 44, lost his life in a collision in County Antrim, reports RTE.

On Saturday night, Benny McIlhatton, a resident of the Loughguile area, was involved in a motorbike accident involving a Volkswagen automobile.

Around 5.30 p.m., emergency services received a complaint of an accident on the Magheramore Road near Ballycastle, according to Inspector Cherith Adair of the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit, reports RTE.

“Officers along with other emergency services attended but very sadly Mr McIlhatton, who was travelling on the motorcycle, died at the scene,” she said, reports RTE.

“Two other people were taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries,” reports RTE.

After being closed for several hours, the Magheramore Road is finally available for traffic.
