Tributes have been paid to a female cyclist from West Cork who sadly lost her life yesterday at 1pm near Shepperton Lake, between Leap and Skibbereen, on the N71.
The woman was involved in a collision with a car. It’s understood that the driver of the car wasn’t hurt.
The woman’s body was taken to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out this morning.
Gardaí in Clonakilty are appealing for witnesses.
