The Minister for Defence Paul Kehoe, has thanked Gardaí for their assistance after he was forced to evacuate his home on Sunday.
It is understood that Minister Kehoe and his family were forced to leave their home in Enniscorthy after a small group of protesters held a demonstration.
However its believed that the group of protesters left the scene a short time later.
A spokesperson for the Defence Minister said that he and his family were grateful for the Gardaí’s assistance.
