After being involved in a single-vehicle crash in County Wexford, a truck driver in his 40s passed away, reports The Irish Examiner.

On Sunday, at about 10:15 a.m., there was a collision on the N30 near Clonroche.

The driver, a man in his 40s who was the only person inside the truck, was declared deceased on the spot, reports The Irish Examiner.

The N30 near Clonroche is closed at the moment and is anticipated to stay closed for several hours while the site is examined by forensic crash investigators.

There are currently localised traffic detours in effect, and the gardaí are requesting that anybody who witnessed the incident come forward.

In a statement, a Garda spokesperson said: “Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling on the N30 in the Clonroche area between 10:00am and 10:30am are asked to make this footage available to gardaí,” reports The Irish Examiner.
