
Early Tuesday morning, a man in his 20s lost his life in a traffic accident in County Meath, reports RTE.
The collision happened in Boolies, Oldcastle, at about 2.20 in the morning.
At the scene, the man—who was riding alone—was declared dead, reports RTE.
There are local detours in place when the route is blocked for a technical inspection.
Any witnesses, especially local drivers who could have dash cam or other camera video, are urged by the Garda to call Kells Garda Station at 046 9280820, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any other garda station, reports RTE.
The man’s passing raises the total number of fatalities on Irish roads since the year’s commencement to 15, reports RTE.
