Tributes paid to man (60s) who has died after collision between car and motorcycle in Co Wexford




Following a collision between a car and a motorbike in Castlebridge, County Wexford, a biker lost their life, reports Breaking News.

Around 9.20 a.m. on Wednesday, the incident occurred on the R742 at Johnstown.

Local detours are in place while the road is stopped for forensic collision investigators to conduct a technical inspection, reports Breaking News.

A man in his 40s who was riding the motorbike was declared dead at the spot.

The second vehicle’s driver, a lady in her 60s, was sent to Wexford General Hospital for treatment of what were first thought to be non-life-threatening injuries, reports Breaking News.

At the time, no other injuries were recorded.

Any witnesses to this accident are being urged to come forward by the Gardaí, reports Breaking News.

Additionally, gardaí are requesting that anybody who may have dash-cam or other video footage from driving by the area between 8.30 and 9.30 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, provide it to them.
