
A man aged in his 70s has died after he was struck by a car in Foxrock, Dublin 18.
The single-vehicle incident took place on the N11 in Foxrock, Dublin 18, on Monday at approximately 6.45pm.
Gardaà and emergency services were notified of the collision involving a car and a pedestrian, reports Breaking News.
The male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner has been informed, and the man’s body has been taken to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course, reports Breaking News.
No other injuries were reported.
The scene was examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, and the road has since been reopened.
Gardaà are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward, reports Breaking News.
Motorists who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling in the area between 6.30pm and 7pm on Monday are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaÃ.
