
A man in his 80s who was struck by a vehicle in Ennis, Co Clare, on 8 December has passed away in hospital as a result of his injuries.
The collision happened on Abbey Street in Ennis on Monday, 8 December, at approximately 1pm, reports RTE.
The pedestrian was brought to hospital to receive treatment for injuries described as life-threatening, but he died yesterday.
The Coroner was informed and a post-mortem examination has since been carried out, reports RTE.
Gardaà are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who were travelling in the Abbey Street area between 12:45pm and 1:15pm and who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, are asked to make it available to gardaÃ, reports RTE.
