Thousands of euro worth of damage has been caused following a random spate of attacks on vehicles in Co Donegal.

The owners of six cars at an apartment complex in Letterkenny are facing repair bills after both the front and rear windscreens of their vehicles were smashed in the lead-up to Christmas, reports Breaking News.

The vandalism occurred in a car park at the Nas Mór Apartment block in Carnamuggagh Upper at around 12.30am in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Gardaí believe a single individual was responsible for all six incidents, reports Breaking News.

Gardaí have gathered CCTV footage from the surrounding area as part of efforts to identify the person involved.

They have also released a description of the man they are seeking to speak with, reports Breaking News.

“We are particularly interested in hearing about any sightings or dash-cam footage of a male on foot in the area who was wearing ¾ length grey shorts, a green t-shirt and a black bodywarmer,” Garda Grainne Doherty said, reports Breaking News.

“We appeal to anyone who may have travelled in that area or in the area of Gleann Tain Manor between midnight and 1am with a dash-cam to make the footage available to us”, reports Breaking News.

Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
