
A man in his 40s has died following a collision with a vehicle in Kildare Town on Tuesday.
Gardaà and emergency services are presently at the scene of the fatal road traffic incident, which took place on the R445 in Co Kildare around 6pm, reports Breaking News.
The pedestrian, a male in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his body remains there.
No additional injuries have been reported, reports Breaking News.
The road remains closed between Monasterevin and Kildare Town, with local diversions implemented.
Forensic Collision Investigators will carry out a technical examination, reports Breaking News.
Gardaà are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area between 5pm and 6:30pm on Tuesday evening are requested to provide it to investigating gardaÃ, reports Breaking News.
