
A woman has died after a single-vehicle collision in Knocklyon, Co Dublin, on Sunday morning.
The incident happened in a car park on Idrone Avenue at approximately 10:55am, reports Breaking News.
A passenger in the vehicle, a woman in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a man also aged in his 80s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening, reports Breaking News.
No other injuries have been reported.
The area was preserved for a technical examination by forensic collision investigators and has since been cleared, reports Breaking News.
An Garda SÃochána are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who may have camera footage, including dash-cam recordings, and who was in the area between 10:45am and 11:15am is asked to provide it to investigating gardaÃ, reports Breaking News.
