
In a two-car accident in County Kilkenny, a woman in her 70s lost her life, reports RTE.
At around 5:50pm on Friday, a collision occurred on the N25 near Luffany.
The woman, who was operating one of the vehicles, was declared deceased at the site after suffering severe injuries, reports RTE.
Her remains were taken to University Hospital Waterford’s mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is scheduled to occur.
In order to treat non-life-threatening injuries, the other driver, a man in his 30s, and a female passenger in her 20s were transported to University Hospital Waterford, reports RTE.
This morning, the N25 route is still blocked between the Luffany and Glenmore roundabouts so that forensic collision investigators may conduct an inspection.
There are local detours, reports RTE.
Additionally, the Gardaà are requesting that anybody has dash cam or other camera video from anyone who was on the N25 between Luffany Roundabout, Slieverue, and Glenmore between 5.30 and 6.15 p.m. provide it to them.
