Around 5:10 p.m. on Friday, two automobiles were engaged in a collision near Cecilstown.
One driver was sadly killed, while the other, a man in his 20s, was seriously hurt and is currently receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital, reports Breaking News.
A post-mortem examination will now be scheduled when the local coroner has been informed, according to the gardaÃ.
The road was blocked over night so that Garda Forensic Collision Investigators could finish their technical analysis on Saturday.
Road users who may have dash cam or other camera video who were in the vicinity at the time are requested to provide it to the gardaà conducting the investigation, reports Breaking News.
