In County Clare, a pedestrian lost his life after being hit by an automobile, reports RTE.
Around 6.20pm on Friday evening, the incident on the N67 in Kilkee claimed the life of a man in his 30s.
Local detours are in place whilst the N67 Kilkee to Kilrush route near Lisdeen is blocked for a technical assessment of the situation, reports RTE.
Any witnesses are being asked to call Kilrush Garda Station at 065 908 0550, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any garda station if they have dash-cam footage or other camera footage and were in the vicinity at the time.
