Tributes paid to young woman who has died after two-vehicle collision




A woman has lost her life following a crash involving a car and a lorry in Castleshane, Co Monaghan, on Wednesday, reports Breaking News.

The incident took place on the N2 at around 2:45pm.

The woman driving the car, who was in her 30s, was declared dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is set to be carried out, reports Breaking News.

There were no other injuries reported in the collision.

The road was shut to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to examine the scene, but has since reopened to traffic.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have seen the incident to come forward, reports Breaking News.

Motorists who were in the area between 2:30pm and 2:50pm on Thursday 10th September 2025 and who may have dash-cam or other camera footage are being asked to share it with the investigation team.
