Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are yesterday’s news today.

His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle, a statement from the Royal Family says.

The duke, who was 99-years-old and the longest-serving consort in British history, had returned to Windsor Castle on 16 March after spending a month in hospital and undergoing treatment.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he “inspired the lives of countless young people”.

The palace said further announcements would be made “in due course” in relation to his funeral.

“The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss,” the statement added.

Tributes have poured in from around the world with crowds gathering outside both Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.
