
At least 41 people have been killed, including two children, after an Aeroflot jet crash landed at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport late yesterday evening.
Flight SU1492 declared an emergency shortly after taking off and attempted to return to the airport, but it crash landed on the second attempt.
The aircraft caught fire on the ground, but many passengers were able to escape unharmed before the flames took hold.
The cause of the crash is unclear, but stormy weather may have been a factor as there were thunderstorms in the area at the time.
Tragically authorities confirmed that scores are dead and injured with a major investigation underway.
