Tragics are pouring in across the country for 14-yr-old Ciara Ryan who tragically died after she reportedly suffered a suspected brain haemorrhage while training with Kilanerin GAA Club in Gorey on Friday.

A paramedic who was in attendance at the training session managed to deliver first aid to the child before a local doctor arrived at the scene within minutes and administered more first aid.

Ciara was then transferred to Wexford General Hospital by ambulance and was horrifically pronounced dead on arrival.

Locals say the teenager complained she “felt a pain in her leg” before collapsing on the pitch.

Tributes have been posted on all GAA pages across the country, including on Wexford Ladies Football Facebook page:

“Ciara attended underage training yesterday evening in Kilanerin.

After about 30mins training Ciara complained of a pain in her leg.

“he was attended to by a local doctor and transfer to Wexford Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 12noon today.
We extend our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to the Ryan Family on the death of their beloved daughter and sister.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Anto, Trish, Jack and Eabha the extended Ryan and Molloy Families, all members of Kilanerin LGF Club, the community of Kilanerin/Ballyfad and her Class mates in Gorey Community School.”

Many tributes have poured in for the teenager including hundreds from GAA clubs around the country.
