Tributes pour in for 26-yr-old ‘lovely quiet man’ who sadly died in Waterford motorcycle accident

Tributes have been made to a young motorcyclist who tragically died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Waterford on Wednesday, reports Breaking News.

James (Jimmy) Power (26), a native of Sleveen, Kill, lost his life in an incident involving just his vehicle, which occurred on the R675 at Ballinahilla near Bonmahon. The crash happened at around 11:45pm on Wednesday night.

Locals described Jimmy as “a lovely quiet man who loved motorbikes”, reports Breaking News.

One person shared: ‘’Deepest condolences to you John Breda & family we were deeply saddened to hear of the sad passing of your beloved son Jimmy we are thinking & praying for you all in this very sad time may god give you strength in these very dark days he was such a lovely quiet young man. Rest in peace Jimmy,” reports Breaking News.

James is mourned by his parents John and Breda, his brothers Nicholas, John and Paddy, his sisters Rebecca, Shauna, Ann-Marie, Louise, Olivia and Helen, his daughter Aria, along with extended family and close friends.

His body will lie in repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home on Barrack Street, Waterford, this Saturday between 2pm and 5pm, with Vigil Prayers and Rosary taking place at 4pm, reports Breaking News.

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Kill on Monday at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Gardaí are urging anyone who may have seen the collision on Wednesday night to come forward, reports Breaking News.

They are especially asking drivers with camera footage, including dash-cam, who were in the vicinity between 11pm and midnight to share the recordings with investigators.
