Late yesterday evening, Leicester City football club confirmed that five people were killed in a helicopter crash which occurred outside the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening.
Leicester City confirmed in a statement that Leicester City Football Club chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, two members of his staff, Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and passenger Izabela Roza Lechowicz had been all killed in the horrific accident.
It’s not yet known exactly why the helicopter crashed occurred but an investigation has already begun.
Tributes have been paid right across sport, with many to taking to social media to praise the Thai entrepreneur who bought the club back in 2010.
