Remember when you were a kid in school and there were breaks all over the place for Christmas, Easter, bank holidays and then the super-long summer holidays.
Well it would appear that if you want that to continue as an adult, the best thing to do is become a TD.
Irish politicians are currently enjoying a 12-day-holiday break, just after they came back a few weeks ago from their 10-week summer holiday break and just a few weeks away from their 4-week Christmas break.
Both the Dáil and Seanad are now closed for business until November 6.
So the next time they come begging for votes, ask them exacly what they’re doing for you, your community or even the country while they’re off on such lavish breaks.
It really is a case of more “jobs for the boys” right here…
