

Tributes have poured in over the past 24 hours after the youngster ever participant in the Dublin city marathon passed away on Wednesday.
The tragic news of little Alanna Russell’s death on Wednesday morning was confirmed by Alanna’s parents yesterday afternoon.
Alanna aged 8, from Navan Co Meath, won the hearts of the nation back in October when she along with the assistance of her father Keith completed the gruelling marathon all in the aid of charity.
The pair successfully managed to raise over €64,000 in order for the Navan Respite Care home to purchase a new mini bus.
Little Alanna was born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, which left her withe severe disabilities.
Her funeral is scheduled to take place on Saturday morning at St Mary’s Church in Navan.
